Top Five Worst Jean Mistakes Men Make

Jeans are a staple in every man’s wardrobe because they go with pretty much everything. The problem is they rarely look how they should on most men. I’ve noticed that wearing ill-fitting jeans runs rampant. Knowing what jeans work best for you can make a huge difference in your overall appearance — putting you miles ahead of most other men out here.

Read on to find out some of “the top five worst jean mistakes men make daily…”

Skin Tight

First and foremost, when selecting jeans, it is essential to ensure they complement the shape of your legs. Look for a natural taper from the knee down to the ankles. Remember, overly tight jeans from the top to the bottom are definitely a big no-go and should be avoided at all costs.

What makes this type of fit unflattering is when they drop on the buttocks — lots of times tight jeans are stretchy causing the behind area to loose shape with wear and droop in the back. Steer clear of any jeans that like a second skin regardless of your body shape. Strive for a balance that is not too loose or too snug; aim for a sleek and tailored fit for the best look!

Too Baggy

Baggy jeans offer a surprising twist for men—they can either accentuate a slim frame, making it appear even thinner, or add bulk to a heavier build. Finding the right fit is crucial to avoid either effect. There’s a myth that baggy jeand guarantee comfort—not true. Concentrate on the proper fit, and as they mold to your shape, your jeans will grow more comfortable over time.

Wrong Color

Please steer clear of stone wash, acid wash, or overly distressed types of jeans since they make a bold statement and lack versatility for everyday wear. Subtlety is king here. Opt for a nice crisp pair of medium to dark-colored jeans that provide more flexibility to dress them down or up as needed. Dark wash jeans are universally flattering on men of all body types, so it's a smart to at the very least, have one pair readily available in your wardrobe.

Saggy Seat

Saggy seat, as mentioned earlier, refers to the drooping fabric in the buttocks that often occurs overtime and doesn't look flattering. When shopping for jeans, make sure the fit in the seat is good – not overly tight or baggy. It should light confrom to your backside. If you detect the dreaded saggy seat issue, have them altered for a better fit around the waist and buttocks or opt for a pair that has more snugness in those areas.

Too Long

Loads of fabric stacked around the ankles can quickly overwhelm your frame, making you appear shorter than your actual height. To avoid this, get your jeans hemmed shortly after buying them. Most brands provide in-house tailoring services for quick adjustments. If this isn't an option, local tailors or even dry cleaners can easily hem your jeans for a budget-friendly alteration. It's a simple and effective solution to ensure your jeans fit you properly
